Abstract

The website of the Department of Education and Culture of Central Java Province, which serves as a crucial source of information for the public, faced usability shortcomings. The initial evaluation indicated a feasibility score of 43.61%, signifying a relatively low level of adequacy. To address this issue, this study applied the User-Centered Design (UCD) method and the USE Questionnaire. Through UCD, the website interface was redesigned, considering user needs and preferences, while the USE Questionnaire was used to assess user satisfaction. The evaluation results after the redesign showed a significant improvement in the feasibility level, reaching 86.88% and receiving the "Very Feasible" category. Each aspect of usability, such as utility, simplicity of use, learning curve, and user satisfaction, also noticed a notable improvement. Therefore, it can be said that the redesign successfully enhanced the overall feasibility and usability level of the Department of Education and Culture website of Central Java Province. Suggestions for future research include continuing to pay attention to user feedback and conducting periodic evaluations to ensure the sustainability of the improvements made.
