Abstract

Kemil-Kemil Banana Chips is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise that sells snacks made from plantain bananas. This MSME faces issues with its packaging, requiring a redesign to appear more appealing to millennials. The uniqueness of this MSME lies in its product, which features the thinnest and wavyshaped banana chip cuts, creating a crispy and crunchy taste. The objective of this research is to conduct a redesign of Kemil-Kemil's packaging and determine the appropriate packaging format to enhance the brand image of Kemil-Kemil products. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative research method, employing data collection techniques such as observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The outcome of this redesign is a modern concept packaging design for Kemil-Kemil Banana Chips, designed to serve its purpose while considering both functionality and aesthetics, making it more appealing to millennials. The supporting media to be used in promotional efforts include banners, banners, tshirts, mugs, keychains, plastic bags, display stands, stickers, coupons, and Instagram feeds.
