Abstract
Fossil fuel transportation produces CO2 gas emissions causing a negative impact on the environment, namely air pollution. Indonesia has experienced air pollution in the last four years reaching an average US AQI value of 42.6 concentrations with very unhealthy levels. The impact of the use of fossil fuel vehicles on the environment has caused the world's automotive industry to produce electric vehicles. The market share of the electric car automotive industry has yet to dominate the national market. Based on Gaikindo data, sales of conventional and electric cars are still far apart so that conventional vehicle users will still dominate in 2021 from January to November. The adoption of electric cars is influenced by several factors such as economic, infrastructure, environmental, social, technological, personal and cultural concerns. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence the adoption of electric cars. The population used was 229,271 with a total of 100 respondents or samples. The analysis of this research uses multiple linear regression analysis methods. The results of the study obtained economic, infrastructure, environmental, social, technological, personal, and cultural concerns that had a positive and significant impact on the adoption of electric cars by the people of Purwokerto. Meanwhile, technology variables and cultural variables, did not have a positive and significant effect on the adoption of electric cars by the people of Purwokerto. Keyword : Air Pollution, Market Share, and Adoption Factor
