Abstract

Internet technology is commonly used to support customers’ activities such as searching for information, shopping, and as a source of income (through e-commerce, online delivery service, and so on). However, network disruptions often occur that cause customers feel uncomfortable. Meanwhile, internet and network technology are complex thus it is difficult to comprehend its details. Network Installation Mechanism provides us an understanding of the network installation mechanism, especially network installation at PT Telkom Indonesia Datel Brebes. The network installation mechanism involves several processes such as submitting a wifi installation, checking the lines from STO (Central Telephone Automatic) to ODC (Optical Distribution Cabinet), checking the availability of ports at the nearest ODP, withdrawing drop core cables from ODP to customers, so that the internet services can be used properly. The network installation mechanism also provides service or repair in case of internet disruption either on the customer or on the provider.
