Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has occurred almost all over the world. In the world of education, the Covid19 pandemic has had a major impact, with schools around the world closing to stop the Covid-19 pandemic. To solve this problem, the author makes a prototype parenting and education application. In this case, the author applies the User Center Design (UCD) method to the design and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to evaluate the user experience. Both of these methods allow authors to create prototypes based on user preferences. The author here uses Protopie to create a prototype to make it easier for users to interact. The results of the application of the UCD method in completing the parenting and education application design which consists of 4 stages, namely specify context of use, specify user requirements, design solution, and evaluation. From this stage it produces several features such as information on how to educate children, electronic books, application management, and management of connected devices. The results of user experience testing using UEQ on 20 parent respondents and 21 child respondents gave a positive response. Keyword: Covid-19, UCD, UEQ, Protopie.
