Abstract
Cats need a litter box as a place to collect urine or feces. Cats have a sharper sense of smell than humans, which makes cats annoyed by the unpleasant smell in the litter box. This causes bad habits, cats will throw feces elsewhere. Clean the cat waste in the litter box at least once a day if you have more cats. The aim of this research is to design a system that can monitor sand dispenser capacity based on the internet of things and provide information on remaining sand capacity and estimates. It is hoped that carrying out this research can minimize the condition of the sand dispenser not being empty, changing the sand without problems, and helping users know the capacity of the dispenser. The Internet of Things-based smart litter box sand dispenser capacity monitoring system can work well, ultrasonic sensors can measure sand capacity in real-time well. This research has a good average value for the accuracy of the two sensors. The infrared sensor has an average value of 90% and the HC-SR04 sensor has an average accuracy rate of up to 96.79%. The monitoring system works well, the HC-SR04 sensor can measure distance and then the ESP32 microcontroller converts the distance into percent. The modified HC-SR04 sensor data results were successfully sent to blynk. Keywords: Accuracy, Blynk, Internet of things, litter box, Capacity Monitoring System
