Abstract

The election for junior high school student council presidents is an event for the younger generation to practice democracy. In its implementation, sometimes it still uses a conventional system using a special booth and paper, not only that, students also have to go to the place where the election is held. This system is also ineffective and there are still fraud or errors in inputting votes by the committee. For this reason, researchers use the concept of a mobile application which can add to the effectiveness of selecting the SMP OSIS chairman. In the process of making applications using the Agile development method because the development process is very easy and requires relatively fast time and large resources with six stages, namely planning, design, development or coding, release, testing, and evaluation. Implementation of application development using Javascript with the ReactJS library which has advantages such as declarative, component-based. After going through the development and release of the application, it is tested using the BlackBox method which focuses on application functionality with five mobile devices and gets the results according to the researchers' expectations. This shows that the development of the application for the election of the SMP OSIS chairman using the Agile method is going well. Keywords: Agile, Javascript, mobile, React JS, OSIS election
