Abstract

The Communications and Information Office of the Pubalingga district, which is a regional apparatus organization in charge of disseminating information, developing, utilizing ICT, and providing services to the public in a transparent manner in the field of communication and informatics. Therefore, the author did practical work in that place to design a website-based virtual tour application in the Purbalingga area. It aims to make it easier for the public to get information about tourism in Purbalingga. Both tourist attractions, culinary tourism, religious tourism, cultural arts, tourist villages, and even lodging. So that later this website will be useful for all people who are looking for tourist destinations in Purbalingga district, especially immigrants and tourists from outside the region. The author uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in designing a website-based virtual tour application, the author also performs User Centered Design (UCD) to get good website display results based on user ratings. The end result of this practical work is that the author is able to complete the design of a website-based virtual tour application well which later this website can be used among the wider community to add information about tourism in Purbalingga district easily and quickly.
