Abstract

Advancements in technology are rapidly affecting all aspects of need. One of them is transportation needs. Trains are one of the public transportation that many people demand. For smooth communication on rail travel used technology traindispatching system. Traindispatching system is used as a means of telecommunication in railways, traindispatching system in the form of voice communication and signaling (information) between Traindispatch Centre with waystation (WS) and locomotive to control traffic Trains are used for the operation of rail travel in order to ensure the safety of railways. Schedule of train itineraries in the increasingly dense DAOP V Purwokerto makes the system communication network traindispatching to be maintained well on every rail line that is traversed by trains. After the simulation is done using the software Atoll obtained the average value of the signal level receiving signals and the value of Ec/Io along the railway lines of-76 dBm and-7.67 dB. Both values of these parameters have not fulfilled the quality required in DAOP V Purwokerto so that added 2 base station transmitter based on the calculation result of Okumura Hatta and simulation results so that the average value of the power level receive signal 52.39 dBm and Ec/Io to-7.22 dB. From the Doppler shift calculation can be known that the greater the speed used by locomotives the greater the frequency of shifting and the greater the possibility of decreased sound quality at the time of machinist in the locomotive Communicate with the control center.
