Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in improving the quality of human resources and achieving the nation's intelligence goals. Mathematics, as a vital subject, involves formulas and numerical calculations to develop problem-solving skills. However, the perceived difficulty and abstract nature of mathematics pose challenges. Based on the 2019 PISA and TIMSS assessments, the quality of mathematics education in Indonesia remains low. Primary obstacles, such as students' lack of understanding and minimal interest in mathematics, were highlighted by teachers at Tarisi 01 Elementary School. Therefore, this research develops an Augmented Reality-based learning media for plane and solid geometry. The research method follows the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), and testing results indicate that the Augmented Reality application is highly suitable, achieving a percentage of 94.73%. Usability testing with the USE Questionnaire provides a score of 93.833%, confirming the application's suitability as a learning tool. The hope is that the use of this application can enhance students' understanding and interest in mathematics, thereby supporting the improvement of the quality of education in Indonesia.
