Abstract

The information provided by current boarding houses in Purwokerto City is not sufficient to satisfy customers. Many customers have to go to the boarding house location themselves to get information regarding availability, facilities, prices and addresses of boarding houses that are still available. This process can be an obstacle for boarding house customers or renters, as they have to visit each boarding house in person to find one that suits their needs. Boarding house owners are also not fully optimal in marketing their boarding houses, which creates difficulties for renters, especially those who come from outside the city and are not familiar with the area. In the context of this background, the formulation of the problem in this study is how to make it easier for customers to find the boarding house they need, as well as helping boarding house owners improve the marketing of their boarding house. In line with the current very fast development of data technology, this research aims to test the feasibility of a website and provide learning and introduction about waste in the surrounding environment using digital learning media. It is hoped that the results and benefits of this research can become a reference for developing a boarding house website that can help new students find information about trusted boarding houses. The E-Kost information system can run well based on 18 tests that have been carried out with 2 tests that failed so that 16 tests were successful.
