Abstract

The Information System (SI) for New Student Admissions (PMB) is a website specifically designed to facilitate the registration process for new students at a tertiary institution. As one of the Private Universities (PTS) located in the city of Purwokerto, the Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology (ITTP) provides electronic services that can be used for prospective students to use the website to carry out PMB every year. Through observations and interviews, it was found that there were several obstacles that website users complained about, namely inaccurate scholarship information, obstacles in searching for schools, lack of understanding of prospective new students, and complaints about the appearance of the website on mobile devices. Apart from that, so far the PMB ITTP website has not been evaluated for usability and user experience. Through this research, it is hoped that an in-depth understanding of the user experience in using the ITTP website can be obtained, by utilizing the System Usability Scale (SUS) and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) analysis methods, as well as testing scenarios for using the PMB ITTP website. By using scenario testing on the PMB ITTP website, the effectiveness scale results were obtained at 100%, which is classified as very effective, and the efficiency scale obtained was 100%, which is classified as very efficient. This research has the result that the SUS method has an average value of 61.856 which is still relatively low based on the level of acceptability, grade scale and adjective rating. Using the UEQ questionnaire, the results showed that the Attractiveness, Perpicuity, Efficiency, Dependability and Stimulation scales had an average value above 0.8, which means that the results obtained were in the positive category. Meanwhile, the Novelty scale has an average value below 0.8, which means that the results obtained are in the neutral category.
