Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease that attacks the joints of the body causing stiffness, swelling and redness in the joints of the body. This disease attacks the joints of the hands, elbows, shoulders, knees and feet. Autoimmune disease is a disorder of the immune system that attacks healthy body parts and is considered a disease by the body’s immune system. The cause of this disease is unknown, but factors that occur in this disease are caused by genetic and environmental factor. There is no medicine that can cure this disease, but it can be treated to relieve pain so that you can carry out normal activities. Many people do not understand about this disease, therefore a booklet is designed as education about Rheumatoid Arthritis which contains the definition of Rheumatoid Arthritis, definition of autoimmune disease, symptoms, what is felt by sufferers of Rheumatoid Arthritis, what to avoid when exposed to Rheumatoid Arthritis, a description of the human body when exposed to Rheumatoid Arthritis, when to check with a doctor and patient stories when exposed to Rheumatoid Arthritis. The approach to research uses qualitative methods and data collection methods in the form of interviews, questionnaires and other literature studies such as books and medical journals. This study uses the 5W + 1H data analysis method to observe a problem that is happening. This design produces a booklet consisting of 11 pages and other supporting media, namely t-shirts, posters, social media feeds, banners and brochures.
