Abstract

In Indonesia, there are still cases where school-age children experience serious oral and dental health problems, especially elementary school (SD) students. Elementary school students are considered vulnerable to dental and oral problems due to being in a growth phase. Behavior is one of the factors or components that also influence this problem. One approach to changing behavior is through educational interventions aimed at increasing children's knowledge. To maximize the effectiveness of the learning process when teaching how to care for teeth and mouth to young children, it is possible to apply interesting learning media in the form of pictures and audio. This study intends to design a website that supports learning activities on oral health for elementary school students using the Design Thinking method. In its application, there are five stages in the Design Thinking method, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This method can make it possible to produce a solution that can handle the problem. In this research, the results of the SUS score on the dental and oral health education website were 76.8 with the interpretation that it is included in the Good category with grade B and is acceptable. Keywords: design thinking, dental and oral health, prototype, system usability scale, education
