Abstract

Field Work Practice Report (PKL) in the Infrastructure Building in the Infrastructure and Networks Division at the Banyumas Kominfo located at Jalan Mosque No. 8, Sokanegara, District. Purwokerto Tim., Banyumas Regency, Central Java 53115 which will be held from 07 August to 07 September 2023. This Field Work Practice is used to complete course assignments, namely practical work and to train students' skills. This report discusses the application of the Queue Tree method on the Virtual Private Network (VPN) network at the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) to improve bandwidth management. By simulating on Cisco Pcket Tracer, this method has been successfully applied to optimize the allocation and use of network resources, resulting in increased performance and efficiency in bandwidth distribution on the Kominfo infrastructure. The evaluation results show that the use of Queue Tree in VPN has had a significant positive impact on bandwidth management, supporting the need for smoother and more effective services. Telecommunication Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Telecommunication and Electrical Engineering, Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto. The goal of PKL for students is to be able to learn various new things, such as technical skills, soft skills, and knowledge of policies and regulations in the field of informatics and telecommunications as well as to fulfill the course requirements of the Telecommunication Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, Faculty of Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering, Institute of Technology Telkom Purwokerto.
