Abstract

One of the learning resources available from educational institutions is the library. The existence of a library makes it easier for students to find information and knowledge. The library at SMA N 1 Wangon has several different sections that help in providing books and facilities for users, such as the section responsible for developing collections, the section that handles collection processing, the section that provides services to users, and the section that is responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment in the library. Based on direct observations, it was found that the management of the library at SMA N 1 Wangon is still not effective and often experiences problems, which results in suboptimal library services. The purpose of this research is to assist management and services at the SMA N 1 Wangon library by designing a library information system. The use of the prototyping method in this research is to develop software. The Prototyping method is chosen because it has a relatively short development time. The results of this research are a library system built using web technology, the users of the system are the admin and members of the library (students). The system developed through black box testing and UAT stages. The output of black box testing on the admin role with 69 functions tested found that 3 functions did not run. On the member role, 17 functions tested were found to have 1 function not running. Then the results of UAT testing indicate that users show satisfaction of 81%.
