Abstract

Si Kromo website is one of the Javanese Krama language learning websites with the address www.sikromo.com. Since its launch in 2021, Si Kromo's user base has increased in the first year, but in the second year, which is 2022, the number of visitors began to decrease. Therefore, researchers conducted an evaluation of the design and redesigned several pages of the Si Kromo website interface. The aim of this study was to determine the level of usability of the Si Kromo website. The evaluation and improvement process of the Si Kromo website design used the UserCentered Design (UCD) approach, with respondent data being collected using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and Usability Testing methods. The evaluation questionnaire was distributed twice, the first evaluation was on the old design of the Si Kromo website, and the second evaluation was on the new design. A total of 50 respondents were used in this study, both for the first and second evaluations. This study resulted in a SUS score of 54.75 for the first evaluation and a SUS score of 80.15 for the second evaluation, indicating an increase in the SUS score of 25.4. Another test using Performance Measurement resulted in an Effectiveness Completion Rate value of 94.8%. Meanwhile, the average time taken by respondents to complete the tasks was between 1-10 seconds, and issues were found in tasks 2, 9, and 10. In the hypothesis analysis, the result obtained from the test was that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted, indicating that the average usability score of the Si Kromo website is not equal to 68 but is greater, with a score of 80.
