Abstract

Pasang baru is an unit in PT Telkom Akses to install internet access in customer's by instaling fiber optic cable and supporting equipment. The work process that most pasang baru technicians do is work at heights like utility poles, ceilings and rooftops, close to the risk of falling, slipping and electrocution. The company has established controls like providing PPE and OHS training, but these control efforts have not been maximal. This because the lack of compliance and awareness of using PPE and knowing about unsafe areas. The purpose of this study is to identify the risk of work in the altitude area using the JSA method, calculate and analyze the risk value, and provide recommendations to the company. The research data get by documentation, observation, interviews and discussions with experts and OHS experts. The results of the study obtained seven of work structures, 33 stages of work and 59 sources of risk. The forms of risk include electric shock on poles and ceilings, falling from a height of 4M more, traffic accidents, scratches, pinched by work tools, sprained limbs, animal shock and time losses. Recommendations from this research are improving the system, providing tools, upgrading skills and OHS knowledge.
