Abstract

One of the main factors to improve product quality is to carry out quality control so that it is not expected that something is produced during the production process. One of the SMEs that wants to do quality control is Super Soka Masinal roof tiles in Pancasan Village. The average result of the proportion obtained is 7.9%. Judging from the percentage, there are still many products that experience difficulties every day, resulting in a decrease in product quality. The purpose of this study was to overcome the number of defective tile products produced by conducting quality control. The methods used in this research are Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. the results of the study using the SPC method, obtained from each type of finding that occurred, namely cracked, broken, chipped and charred defects which were carried out using a check sheet tool. Then the causative factors are obtained in the form of tools in the form of fishbone diagrams including humans, machines, materials, methods and the environment. From the results of the FMEA by calculating the RPN value for each failure mode, it was found that the components/processes of the machine were ranked first, then proposed the components/processes of materials, humans, methods and the environment. Furthermore, a proposed improvement will be made on the components/processes of each failure mode that occurs. Keywords : Quality Control, SME, SPC, FMEA
