Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country that has many active volcanoes and is surrounded by a ring of fire (Ring of Fire). After an earthquake, we often wonder where, how strong, and whether the earthquake has the potential to cause a tsunami or not. The delay in information about the earthquake that had just occurred caused the spread of false information or hoaxes about what happened during the earthquake. According to bmkg.co.id, anticipation of an earthquake after an earthquake occurs is to listen to information and not to be easily provoked by rumors or news that have no clear source. To get accurate information, an Android-based “Quake Today ID” application was made where the data taken came from an accurate source, namely bmkg.co.id. In this application there are 3 main menus, namely the latest, most recent and felt earthquakes. The latest menu contains information about the latest earthquakes. The current menu contains information on a list of 15 Earthquakes with a magnitude of M 5.0+. The felt menu contains information regarding a list of 15 Earthquakes felt. The data taken by the author comes from the Json data bmkg.
