Abstract

This study aims to find out the reasons why Indonesia strives to make Batik as an Indonesian Cultural Heritage and explain the importance of the cultural identity of the Indonesian nation. The research method used is literature study through related journals and previous studies. Batik is one of the cultures that has long developed and is close to the people of Indonesia. Batik is often associated with a process method starting from the depiction of motifs to the process of pelorodan or the process of removing wax from batik cloth. But there are still many people who don't really understand the comparison of batik in Indonesia using the K-Nearest Neighbor and Convolutional Neural Network algorithms, both algorithms are really needed by some students or the community because the algorithm focuses on accuracy in the image. Therefore, this research was made to make it easier for students to understand the types of batik using these two algorithms. In each very diverse batik motif, there are different philosophies and meanings. There are 30 types of batik motifs recorded in this study, each of which has its own characteristics. The results of the analysis bring up image and score predictions. Then, the researchers found the elements that support Batik as a cultural heritage and identity of the Indonesian Nation.
