Abstract

Digital Transformation as the main element of modernization of human life has touched the market. In Indonesia the situation of traditional markets has been targeted by the Government with the policy of implementing SNI 8152 as a guideline for changing traditional markets into people's markets including their management. The renewal of SNI 8152 from 2015 to 2021 is also used as a guideline in improving the function and performance of the people's market. The aim is not only to be service-oriented and user-friendly, but also to be oriented towards safety and ICT-based supporting infrastructure – Information and Communication Technology. It is hoped that the competitiveness of the people's market against other types of modern markets such as online markets and marketplaces can be maintained. The application of various fintech technologies as a new method in the payment process between sellers and buyers is believed to be the main strength of the competitiveness of the people's market as stated in 4.2.14 letter b of SNI 8152:2021 where the technology cannot be separated from the existence of ICT infrastructure in 4.2. 13. SNI 8152:2021.
