Abstract

In this microwave link design, pathloss 5.0 software is used at the Bakalan Polokarto site and the Polokarto site where the distance between sites is approximately 2.3 Km. The technology used is wireless network technology without cables that can reach all places that are not reachable using cables. Microwave radio communication network technology where this system uses microwaves and antennas to transmit signals that are used to communicate. To design a microwave link at the Bakalan Polokarto site and the Polokarto site using Pathloss 5.0 software. On the site, a microwave link from the vendor has been installed where this design is used to determine the link budget that the author made with the link budget from the vendor, by looking at the parameters analyzed from Gain, Free Space Loss (FSL), Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP), Isotropic Received Level (IRL), Received Signal Level (RSL), Fading Margin, Availability, and Unavailability. For the value generated for Availability in the design, the value is 99.99456%, then for the calculated value for Availability there is a value of 99.999726%.
