Abstract

In Indonesia 5G technology has begun to be prepared by the government to support the application of industry 4.0. To support this, this research will compare the planning of the 5G at a frequency of 3.5 GHz and 28 GHz. this research will be simulated using the Mentum Planet 7.2.1 Software with a planning method on the Coverage side with a case study in the Bekasi Industrial Area covering an area of 81,42 km2. The model propagation used UMa (Urban Macro) propagation model based on the 3GPP TR 38,901 standard. this research will used 8 design scenarios for uplink conditions; and downlinks; outdoor-tooutdoor (O2O) and outdoor-to-indoor (O2I); line of sight (LOS) and non-line of sight (NLOS). From the simulation results that have been carried out, it can be seen that at a frequency of 3.5 GHz for scenario 1: Uplink and O2O (Outdoor-toOutdoor) in the LOS (Line of Sight) case requires the least gNodeB among other scenarios, namely 25 gNodeB with the average value of SS-RSRP is -98.15 dBm, the SS SINR value is 4.71 dBm, and the data rate is 174.58 Mbps. The frequency of 28 GHz for scenario 8: Downlink and O2I (Outdoor-to-Outdoor) in the case of NLOS (Non Line of Sight) requires the most gNodeB among other scenarios, namely 8386 gNodeB with an average value of SS-RSRP -74.79 dBm, SS value SINR -6.06 dBm, and Data rate 22.88 Mbps. The 3.5 GHz frequency for scenario 1 has the best simulation results among other scenarios in terms of the parameters of SS RSRP, SS SINR, and data rate. While the scenario of 8 frequency 28 GHz has the worst simulation results among other scenarios in terms of SS SINR parameters, data rate. Keywords : 5G Planning, Coverage Area, Frequency 3,5 GHz, Frequency 28 GHz , Mentum Planet
