Abstract

To be able to handle a job in the world of design, designers must have a lot of knowledge from theory or practice and experience. In this case, prospective designer students are required to have sufficient skills and expertise to compete in the world of work and can apply the knowledge of visual communication design that has been learned and can add insight into the role of graphic de-signers in a real business venture. The applied science of visual communication design aims to be able to communicate information and messages that are displayed visually. The function of visual communication design has three functions, namely as a means of identification, as a means of infor-mation and instructions and as a means of promotion. While carrying out practical work at Seven Inc, the author can apply this knowledge and knowledge. In addition, the author gains experience and knowledge that is not obtained in the lecture process. At the time of practical work, the author is required to be more communicative with the various parties concerned, with the intention of knowing what kind of design the client wants. Companies should better select prospective interns who register with this company. This aims to further filter the interns who really have skills in the field they will register and can add to their offices that are specifically functioned for the appren-ticeship program.
