Abstract

Microwave radio communication system is a communication system that can send information from one sender's location to the recipient's location by air. Availability is a parameters used to determine the reliability of systems on microwave networks. However, there are times when the availability generated in the design of the system is not optimal, it can be done by adding such a passive repeater with a type of back to back antenna. Where this design is located in hilly areas. The data used was obtained by conducting a case study at PT XL Xerindo, while for conducting network design simulations using the Pathloss 50 software application. On the microwave link Karang Pucung Gunung Depok Banyumas (G. Depok Banyumas) before the back to back antenna repeater was applied, the availability value was 96.51219% and unavailability was 1099917 seconds per year Based on the results of calculation using the link budget produces an availability value of 96 3500923% and unavailability 0 036499077 seconds per year That is because the influence of the condition link region is in a Non-LOS (Line Of Sight) state or there is an obstacle blocking Whereas on the Karang Pucung G Depok Banyumas link after the repeater was applied. 99 99503% availability was achieved from unavailability of 1567.60 seconds per year. And based on the results of the calculation produces an availability value of 99 99999793% and unavailability 2.068999706 seconds per year.
