Abstract

As technology develops, information systems become important in personal and business activities, helping to make quick decisions with the right computer tools. Information system users need to develop and share electronic information through business applications, including sales strategies, customer service, and room rentals. Many rental business owners still have difficulty managing room availability manually, which often causes errors and inefficiencies. The rental information system can check availability and evaluate room transactions. The Research and Development (R&D) method is suitable for developing this application, including steps such as problem identification, small research, planning, design development, testing, revision, and implementation. The digitalized rental management application increases accuracy, efficiency and speed of data management, with black box testing ensuring the system functions well and displaying error messages if errors occur. The Research and Development (R&D) method is a systematic approach used in the process of research and development of new products or technology . This method involves steps to collect information, analyze data, and develop new solutions or improvements to existing products or technology. Rental Management Application Nur Residence rental management has been digitized through the creation of a desktop application, making it easier to access and use and increasing administrative and managerial efficiency . The research and development method is used by collecting data from managers and designing applications using Java and MySQL. Application testing results show a percentage of 100% when testing with rental managers and 96% testing with other devices. This application aims to shorten the rental data management process, improve the quality of service to customers, and make the rental management system better and more organized.
