Abstract

Information Technology (IT) has become a vital necessity for various types of organizations, including government and private sectors, to enhance work effectiveness and efficiency. MA Salafiyah Karangtengah, located in Dusun Karangtengah, Warungpring District, Pemalang Regency, has adopted IT in various activities, including learning processes, management, and operations. However, no analysis has ensured that IT management at this school is optimal and reliable. Given the school's vision and mission emphasizing the importance of education based on applied science and technology, this research aims to identify and evaluate the current IT governance management conditions at MA Salafiyah Karangtengah and provide recommendations for improvement to align with the school's vision and mission. This study employs the COBIT 2019 framework and both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The results indicate that the Capability Levels for processes APO12 and APO13 are at level 2, indicating that these processes are performed but not optimal and lack quantitative measurement. These activities have not reached the target of level 4, which requires well-defined performance measurements that can be statistically quantified. The gap between these activities is 2 levels. The recommendations provided are expected to enhance IT governance at MA Salafiyah Karangtengah, supporting more effective and efficient school learning and operations. .
