Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of the PLN Mobile application using the PIECES Framework method at PLN ULP Purwokerto City. The main issue identified is the frequent errors in the PLN Mobile application, particularly in terms of response time. This study seeks to identify the variables that affect the application's performance and evaluate its ability to handle errors. The research involves the general public users of the PLN Mobile application in Purwokerto City as the research subjects. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to application users in the area. The objectives of the research are to identify, analyze, and evaluate the variables affecting the application's performance, and to develop recommendations for improving the application's performance. The results show that the average performance for the Service variable is 2.75, which falls into the good category. According to the evaluation characteristics of the PIECES Framework method, it can be concluded that overall, users feel that the PLN Mobile application meets their needs. The services provided by the PLN application also align with user requirements. This study identifies several key variables that affect the application's performance, including network quality, server capacity, user interface design, and programming efficiency. The evaluation of the application's ability to handle errors shows that while the application can address connectivity and authentication errors, there are still weaknesses in handling data processing errors and real-time information updates. In conclusion, the performance of the PLN Mobile application can be improved through code optimization, infrastructure enhancement, and customer service. Implementing these recommendations is expected to enhance the application's performance and stability, providing a better user experience.
