Abstract

Purwokerto is a sub-district located in the Central Java Province and serves as the administrative center of Banyumas Regency. Purwokerto also falls within an area renowned for its diverse culinary offerings. This diversity can be attributed to the fact that Purwokerto is one of many regions in Central Java that houses a substantial number of students. The high number of schools and universities has turned Purwokerto into a strategic hub for pursuing education. One of the highly consumed and favored culinary delights among students, ranging from college attendees to working individuals, is chicken noodle (mie ayam). In Purwokerto, chicken noodle is a popular choice and is easily accessible. However, based on data obtained from interviews with the head of the Chicken Noodle Community in Purwokerto, it has been found that many chicken noodle enthusiasts, particularly newcomers to the area, tend to buy their noodles from vendors situated near their residences or from chicken noodle stalls located in busy central areas or downtown. Unfortunately, not all chicken noodle sellers they encounter offer flavorsome options with appropriate portions and reasonable prices. To cater to chicken noodle enthusiasts and contribute to enhancing the culinary tourism potential in Purwokerto, a geographical infography mapping the 19 most delicious chicken noodle places in Purwokerto has been developed. This infographic is based on data processed by the Chicken Noodle Community of Purwokerto. This study employs a qualitative method to gather and analyze data. Primary data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and literature review. Once the data has been collected, analysis is carried out using the 5W+1H Technique. Through the creation of this infographic, it is hoped to provide valuable insights and information for chicken noodle aficionados.
