Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Giripuro Sumpiuh is one of the education units with SMK level in Banyumas Regency, Central Java. SMK Giripuro Sumpiuh is located at JALAN GIRITOMO NO. 15 SUMPIUH, Kebokura, Kec. Sumpiuh, Kab. Banyumas, Central Java, with the zip code 53195. SMK Giripuro Sumpiuh experiences obstacles in its business processes. The obstacle experienced is that the existing information system and information technology (SI/TI) have not been used optimally, resulting in the existing SI/TI being neglected. Therefore, efforts are made to overcome the obstacles that exist in SMK Giripuro Sumpiuh. Organizations need a strategic SI/TI strategy that is tailored to their specific conditions and needs. In order to get the most out of existing IS/TI and for more students to use IS/TI in their classes and for other learning activities, an IS/TI strategic plan needs to be made. The Ward and Peppard method is one of the methods that can be used in SI/TI strategic planning to manage the barriers that exist in the organization, this is because the Ward and Peppard method focuses on business needs in the organization and uses analysis analysis used in making SI/TI strategic planning. These analyses include: Strenght, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) analysis, Value Chain, McFarlan Strategy Grid, and also Political, Economic, Social, and Technological (PEST). Furthermore, a strategic planning document will be produced that contains recommendations regarding SI/TI business strategy, SI management strategy, and also IT strategy that can be used by SMK Giripuro Sumpiuh in 2024-2028.
