Abstract

All students of the Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology are required to take part in the Job Training which is an internship program for students in the world of business and government work. The purpose of this activity is to provide students with provisions before entering the real world of work. Students will discover knowledge and skills that must be developed and maintained through Practical Work. In minetenance, the author was assigned to accompany the technicians to the field and observe the technicians working on various problems, such as high attenuation on the ODP, broken feeder cables due to excavation, and various other problems. The technician also explains to the students what to do when dealing with disturbances, so that the acceleration of disturbance handling can be applied. In carrying out this practical work the author gets a lot of clear information in applying the knowledge gained in college through the implementation of this practicum activity, which can be applied optimally and optimally when carrying out field work activities. In addition, Field Work Practices are a means for students to get to know the world of work and the conditions they will face after graduation.
