Abstract

Television is an electronic medium that produces moving images and sound that is transmitted via air waves. Satellite TV is a local-scale private television station located in Purwokerto City, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. Satellite TV was established on July 11, 2015. One of the programs created by Satellite TV is the news program “Warta”. The news program "Warta" is one of the programs that contains news from events that occurred in the areas of Banyumas, Cilacap, Purbalingga, Banjarnegara and Kebumen. The production of the news program "Warta", the role of an editor is very influential on the success of the news broadcast. The purpose of writing this final report is to explain the description of the Berita Warta Program and the Role of the Editor in the Production Process of "Warta" News on Satellite TV. The location of data collection for this final report is done at Satellite TV which is located on Jl. Dr. Angka, Glempang, East Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. There are three processes in the production of "Warta" namely pre-production, production and post-production. To the editor in the process of producing news "Warta" during post-production. The editor acts as the editor of the video tapping “Warta” which was already produced that day.
