Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has been so fast that it affects every aspect of human life, so now it seems as if society has been spoiled by the existence of tools that can provide convenience in daily activities. The Office of Komunikasi dan Informatika Kabupaten Purbalingga is one of the regional apparatus organizations of Purbalingga Regency which is in charge of disseminating information, developing and utilizing information and communication technology as well as controlling Post and Telecommunication services to provide services to the community in a transparent and accountable manner in the field of communication and informatics. The field of information dissemination is carried out in Purbalingga Regency such as tourist information, tourist villages, culinary arts, cultural arts, lodging, religious tourism, events, and others. This information lacks a thorough distribution, especially nowadays, where almost all people use smartphones so that an android-based prototype of the Purbalingga tourist info application is made to increase the number of local and foreign visitors via smartphones. This study uses the prototyping method in making application prototypes and uses the usability scale method to develop application prototypes.
