Abstract
Virtual Private Network (VPN) which is a technology that connects two or more different local networks in the encrypted public network (internet). VPN networks without additional packet security mechanisms can be dangerous because VPN networks use public networks so that one of them implements Multiprotocol Label Switching Virtual Private Network (MPLS VPN), which is a combination of two technologies: MPLS and VPN. MPLS VPN offers a variety of reliability and speed of packet data delivery, it is this that encourages many companies that have branch offices to use the technology. In this research is used MPLS-VPN network, to connect two different VPN in order to communicate with each other. The research method used in this network design is done to simulate MPLS VPN network is using EVE-NG simulator application. MPLS VPN network there are two data packet delivery path that is primary or strict path and secondary or loose path. QoS parameters that are tested are delay, jitter, packet loss and throughput. The simulation is done by using 2 computers and a VOIP server. From the results of measurement and testing on the MPLS VPN network and without MPLS VPN obtained that when the network has not implemented MPLS VPN better than after implemented MPLS VPN. Voice and video call services result in lower value gains than after MPLS VPN implementation. In the MPLS VPN network obtained the value of QoS when MPLS VPN implemented on two layers of L3VPN and L2VPN obtained the highest delay value at L3VPN that is equal to 20,578 ms, the parameters obtained the greatest value obtained 23,421 ms, packet loss for both the second network obtained the largest obtained by L2VPN is 2.06% and the largest thrughput obtained by L2VPN is 0.713 Mbps. So it can be concluded that L3VPN is better than L2VPN seen from the result of QoS parameters obtained. Key Words : VPN, MPLS, MPLS-VPN, QoS
