Abstract
Satellite communication is a type of telecommunications that has a very broad coverage. One of the technologies that uses satellite communication is VSAT SCPC. VSAT SCPC is a data communication service using satellite access media with FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access). PT. Telkom Satelit Indonesia has this VSAT SCPC service with a large number of subscribers in Indonesia. IP VSAT communication performance can be affected by several factors, one of which is the condition of the equipment in VSAT SCPC such as the BUC Codan 6700. The condition of the device, such as the BUC Codan 6700 modem, needs to be confirmed, if it is good it will be used in the field and vice versa. To ensure the BUC condition is good or not, there is a Quality Control (QC) process at PT. Telkom Satelit Indonesia. The condition of the BUC Codan 6700 that needs to be ascertained is the physical condition and condition of the modem functionality, so that there are four checking and testing processes in Quality Control (QC), including physical condition tests, gain, tx test and output power test. If the four tests comply with the provisions in PT. Telkom Satelit Indonesia, BUC Codan 6700 can be used in the field. Therefore, the KP report that will be used is "Quality Control of the BUC (Block Up Converter) Device and the 6700 25 watts using the C-band frequency for VSAT SCPC at PT.
