Abstract
This research discusses about the importance of computerized the employee performance appraisal. It caused by lots of companies doing the performance appraisal without a good computerization, so it might raise the opportunities of subjectivity assessment. The procedure that could minimize the case is make a system with good design method like Decision Support System methods, SAW and TOPSIS. That methods have a sorting concept for every alternative and to decrease the subjectivity, assessment made by form of a comparison matrix. As an attempt to find out the best method between SAW and TOPSIS, the comparisons have been done in this research by computation performance based on running-time result. Comparative results make conclusion that TOPSIS method is more effective compared with SAW by the deviation of running-time 5,06694 seconds on the computer A, and 17,2842602 seconds on the computer B with each 5 times of testing. The results will be implemented for PT. XYZ employee performace appraisal which are created in a system based on MATLAB platform. Keyword: Decision Support System, SAW, TOPSIS, MATLAB
