Abstract
Electrical energy is one of the very important community needs and is an economical resource that is used in various activities every day. However, excessively electricity consumption and each year the use of electricity is certainly increased and the depletion of petroleum reserve that impact on increase in fuel oil and certainly the occurrence of increase in electricity tarifs. Electrical energy monitoring is much done by installing electrical measuring instruments on the electrical panels before going into the load. In that way it still has a shortage, where to find out it must immediately look to the location, where the measuring instrument is installed and that is what causes efficient it cannot immediately know the results. In addition to the above factors, the monitoring needs to be done to know the changes that occur every time, so it can be known the quality of electrical energy in a system. In this study, measurements using the HLW8012 sensor with NodeMCU ESP8266 communication, where for this sensor can to find the value of current, voltage, power, and change in the power factor values simultaneously. Based on the test results of the current measurement, voltage, power, and power factor using the HLW8012 sensor resulted in the lowest error at a current of 1.12%, and the lowest at a voltage of 1.7%, %, for measurement of power factor the lowest error is 1.41%. Keywords : Electrical Energy, Power Parameters, HLW8012 Sensor, NodeMCU ESP8266
