Abstract

ABSTRACT Depression is a mental illness that can affect yourself. Riskesdas data shows the prevalence of mental emotional disorders as indicated by symptoms of depression and anxiety for the age of 15 years and over reached around 14 million people or 6% of the total population of Indonesia and only noted by 8% who get the right treatment. Comparison of psychologists/psychiatrists with sufferers, shame and fear, till the lack of consultation location resulted in many people affected by depression did not get the right treatment. Even if it is not treated properly it can caused to death. So from this problem, an axpert system of depression diagnose was created that might reduce the inhibiting factors in overcoming depression. The method used is the Dempster Shafer method by using a combination of symptoms (slices). By implementing this method get an accuracy rate of 92.7% with 55 teenage research objects. For this method, the accuracy that approaches 1 or 100% can be said to be more valid. Keywords: Dempster Shafer, Expert System, Depression
