Abstract

Android is one of the mobile operating systems based on Linux. Android has been widely used in various devices such as smartphones, tablets to smart watches. Teknisi Monitoring application was built to facilitate for field technicians to collect data from updating/changing network devices, so it can be used online and offline. The making of this report is as one of the requirements of the Praktik Kerja Lapangan course study program for Informatics Engineering IT Telkom Purwokerto. Data collection was carried out during and after the implementation of PKL / KP. Those were taken from the interview method and literature review. In the interview method was conducted a question and answer with an Android Programmer mentor. Whereas in the literature study method are done by looking for references on basic material and the development of Android applications. In Android Programming, the author is assigned to add a few UI elements to the Teknisi Monitoring application. The elements are progress bar, the refresh button and select one text on the spinner. The result is when the refresh button is pressed the progress bar will appear on the spinner. While the select one text is used as the default value. The implementation of the refresh button and progress bar is done by adding the element by observing the existing form layout. While the implementation of the select one text on the spinner is done by modifying the SQL query and adjusting the adapter used. This requires an understanding of the structure on Android.
