Abstract

The purpose of making this field work practice report is to reduce and tidy up the copper cable to save the place, neatly, and more efficiently on a DSLAM device, this is because there are still many copper cables that are not connected to the customer but still in the device. This research starts from checking telephone numbers or data validation so that you can find out which ports are still active and those that are not active by going directly to the field to get data accurately or commonly called a survey first. With the results of the survey then transfer the copper cable that is still active on DSLAM 2 to DSLAM 1, then after completing the transfer of all active cables, then the next step is to clean the dead cable on DSLAM 2 by removing all cables on DSLAM 2, DSLAM 2 it's empty. The results of the transfer of copper cable run smoothly so that it can reduce the copper cable that is too much and not neat, and become more efficient because it can save space.
