Abstract
To get information one of them with internet. One of the company provider of the internet is PT.Telkom with the name Speedy, that is internet service high speed via a network telephone copper cable. The distance from Digital Subcriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) in central up to customer’s modem effect on network quality. To overcome this proble PT.Telkom to modernize the access network that is replace the existing network of old telephone exchange and DSLAM as customer liaison to the internet replaced by the Multi-Service Access Network (MSAN).how the calculation parameters quality of network Speedy based on the effect distance of DSLAM to the customers’s Speedy before and after using the MSAN technology affected by the parameter SNR, Line Attenuation, Line Rate. Here are two methods used to calculate the quality of network Speedy, that is method of the percentage ratios and Different test methods Paired samples (Paired Sample T-Test). From the calculation of the sample before and after using MSAN then obtained on the parameter of SNR upstream value before 27,09 dB, value after 31,29 dB an increased of 15,50%, while on the parameter of SNR downstream value before 25,93 dB, value after 37,53 dB an increased of 44,74%, on the parameter of Line Attenuation upstream value before 22,2 dB, value after 7,57 dB an decreased of 65,90%, while on the parameter of Line Attenuation downstream value before 42,5 dB, value after 16,13 dB an decreased of 62,05%, on the parameter of Line Rate upstream value before 288,39 Kbps, value after 269,42 Kbps an decreased of 6,58%, while on the parameter of Line Rate downstream value before 1072 Kbps, value after 1238,84 Kbps an increased of 15,56%.
