Abstract
Parabolic antenna serves to facilitate when pointing antenna to the target satellite. Problems that are know is how to influence of Bit Erorr Rate and Carrier to Noise Parameters on LNB Combo which uses DVB-S2 Technology. After the instalation of parabolic antenna done and success, then the next step is do the antenna pointing. Antenna pointing is directed at position of the target satellite. The target satellite is Palapa D which uses C-Band frequency and NSS 6 which uses KU-Band Frequency. After pointing is completed, then the next step is connect the antenna to Digital Video Broadcasting Satellite Second Generation (DVB-S2). DVB-S2 is a receiver. Parameter were observed is BER and C/N. BER is comparison of the number of bits received incorrectly with the number of bits of information which transmitted at specified intervals. C/N is comparison of the value of the carrier received with the signal noise resulting in a link. Required too LNB Combo which useful for transmitting signal to receiver. LNB used is LNB Combo, which two frequencies is C-Band and KU-Band be one in one LNB. After taking measurements and view the result of measurement, it can be concluded that LNB combo effect on resulting C-Band signals. C-Band signal will decrease the signal quality. This is evidenced from the result of measurement that have been done, that the value of the C/N and BER on Ku-Band is better that the value of the C/N and BER on C-Band.
