Abstract

The development of the telecommunications world that has occurred, affects the various needs of the community, which will increase in the field of telecommunications, from initially using copper cables to fiber optic cables. Every technological development is not without its shortcomings, therefore this report is made on these basics. Some examples of problems that exist are in terms of very expensive costs, physical fiber optic cores made of glass, and 3rd parties doing testing. In this report the author will provide the results of practical work regarding the prevention and prevention of problems that arise from these examples. In addition to fiber optic cable, there is a technology that is quite important, namely Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), this technology will provide a significant increase in cost. This technology can perform multiplexing which can have a side effect of using core optical fiber, so that more clients can transmit only with two-core optical fiber.
