Abstract

ABSTRACT The various information services are increasingly demanding a sufficient network reliability, and competition between service providers in the telecommunications world is currently increasingly tight. So that every service provider must improve the performance of his Ministry and demanded to be able to make use of technology so that the company's operating costs can be pressed. Therefore, PT. Telkom Indonesia, Tbk as one telecommunications service provider in Indonesia has formulated some policies, one of which is building a fiber-optic network DWDM link between Cirebon-Kadipaten that can meet the needs of the community in telecommunication To solve the problem is to use methods of analysis performance fiber-optic network to link Cirebon-Kadipaten. Then do the calculation Power Link budget calculation, Availability, Maintainability and Attenuation for later analyzed. Link budget in the study also obtained the margin still available for 13,716 dB. The calculation of availability on the research yielding an average availability sebssar 99.98%. For maintainability data on this peneliatian an average of 8-10 hours, in accordance with the standard PT. Telkom, Tbk within 1 month. Study on the attenuation of 21.684 dB. From these data it is very important to know the performance of a fibre optic network what still in accordance with the standards or not.
