Abstract

Abstract— In the development of the latest cellular technology, namely 5G New Radio, it is able to support the development of the national industrial sector in the field of telecommunications services which will have high data transfer speeds. A better communication network needs to be implemented and is one of the challenges in the development of 5G networks in Indonesia. The Pulogadung industrial area as a developing industrial area, where 5G technology is ideal for implementation in industrial areas that help the wheels of the Indonesian economy, on the other hand, investing in a network performance must know the level of economic feasibility by an operator. In this study, an analysis of the 5G network design will be carried out in terms of coverage using Urban Micro propagation model with scenarios Uplink and Downlink Outdoor to Outdoor Line of Sight and from the economic level of project feasibility using an optimistic scenario with the assumption of 80% users, which is based on the projected population growth of 5G users using the bass growth model method from the start of the show in 2021-2030 . In this plan, it is simulated at a frequency of 26 GHz, which is one of the millimeter wave frequency candidates to be used as the 5G frequency standard in Indonesia because it provides high coverage and capacity. In the economic analysis used, namely the parameters Capital Expendicture (CAPEX), Operational Expendicture (OPEX), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) to determine the feasibility of planning the 5G New Radio network in the Pulogadung Industrial Area.
