Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the supporters of the national economy. In this study, a case study was conducted on MSMEs in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java, which focuses on manual brew coffee drinks. Kedai Kontekstual coffee is one of the MSMEs that has been operating since 2019 and is still standing today. However, the owner of the coffee shop has experienced difficulties in managing the financial reports of the shop, such as income, expenses, and data recapitulation, as all of them are recorded manually. The researcher developed a web-based financial reporting application using the Scrum method to address this issue. The Scrum method can fulfill the needs of the coffee shop owner in managing the existing problems. The application development process was divided into 5 sprints with a duration of 2 weeks and a maximum of 20 story points per sprint. Before starting the sprint, the Scrum Master had created a product backlog, and several stages were carried out in the sprint process, such as sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint goal, sprint retrospective, and sprint review. The results showed that the financial reporting system can assist the coffee shop owner in gathering financial reports, managing information, and displaying data on income and expenses, as well as generating reports such as income reports, expense reports, and data recapitulation.
