Abstract

E-Voting means the process of voting using electronic devices, which can be devices such as smartphones or notebooks and the like. E-Voting can also mean electronic voting procedures and vote counting during elections. The election system in Cilacap Regency uses traditional voting procedures, the election system, and vote counting in conventional elections still have many shortcomings, such as mistaken elections in terms of marking the ballot paper, continuing announcements due to slow elections because they are required to do manual calculations and fraud often occurs, and data storage is very crucial. The purpose of this research is to develop an E-Voting website so that citizens can determine the candidates for Regent and Vice Regent in Cilacap Regency. The development technique utilized is the Rapid Application Development method which focuses on software development in a short time and is assisted by Blackbox Testing in the testing process. The results of Blackbox Testing can function as they should. To get 100% functionality on the system that works as planned, testing has been done 25 situations. To create an E-Voting website for the Regent and Vice Regent elections in Cilacap Regency using the Laravel framework and PHP programming language. With this information system, the KPU (General Election Commission) can reduce the use of paper during elections and the vote counting time is also more effective.
