Abstract

Technological developments encourage changes in the nature of information technology-based learning or e-learning, which adopts a cloud computing model This has also caused the number of requests to access e-learning servers to increase This could potentially result in an imbalance in server workload causing the server to go down or not be able to serve requests Load balancing scheme on the server is used as one of the preventive solutions to anticipate these problems. This study aims to analyze the application of load balancing using the least connection algorithm on Learning Management System (LMS) based on cloud computing The least connection algorithm will distribute the workload to each server that has the fewest connections Testing is carried out using Openstuck as a cloud computing Infrastructure three servers that will handle 1000 1500 2000 2500 and 3000 requests and client to perform testing Testing was done using HTPPerf software using external parameters sah us throughput and packet loss response time and CPU usage. The throughput test results when 1000 requests amounted to 1.012 kbps and there was a decrease in throughput when the request was increased The response time test results at the time of 1000 requests amounted to 42 616 and increased the time it takes the server to respond to the request when the request is increased Packer loss test results on 1000 requests by indicates that the server Is still very optimal when the request is increased to 1500 packet loss request is not optimal by 29 90% and the greater when the request is increased oguin CPL usage monitoring results show an increase in percentage us the number of requests increases The test results than this the system is still very optimal when 1000 requests and becomes not optional when the request is increased again Keyword: e-learning could computing, load balancing, least connection.
