Abstract

The Kemawi BTS network uses a fiber optic network as a transmission medium or what is called FTTT. There is a problem with this network, namely there is a fiber optic network break point that uses a ground cable so that the supply is temporarily diverted through ODP which uses a 1: 8 splitter and 1: 2 splitter so that the power value is not in accordance with Telkom's specifications. Of course it will affect the service and the bandwidth provided will not be optimal. An FTTT network that is connected directly to the outdoor OLT without using a splitter is required as the right solution to overcome this case. The total distance from OLT to BTS Kemawi is ± 2,830 m. The attenuation of the power link budget from OLT to BTS is calculated mathematically, and the result is 20.34 dB with a power margin of 8.66 dB for downlink and 6.66 dB for uplink. The BER values obtained from the simulation results are 1.07089x10-146 for downlink and 4.42913x10-52 for uplink. While the downlink and uplink Q factor values obtained were 25.7657 and 15.1936 respectively. It can be said that the value obtained from the simulation results is feasible and meets the ideal Bit Error Rate (BER), namely 10-9 , and for the minimum Q factor value requirement of 6. The downlink simulation results obtained a power value of -21.892 dBm. The overall ONT attenuation value for the downlink on the Kemawi FTTT network as a result of implementation is -15.27 dBm. From these results it can be said that it is feasible because the sensitivity is not smaller than -28 dBm. Keywords: FTTT, BTS, downlink, uplink
